    I have a MKV container file..
    To convert it to AVi..
    Virtualdubmod doesn't open the MKV file though the Matroska codec pack is installed .. SO tried MKVExtractGui, all audio streams and subtitles extract fine.. But the video is extracted only as 'TRACK1' file.. (ie. without extension like AVI orMPG or DAT etc) ..Why's this??

    uhmm no.
    I was using VC++ in VS .. I just don't know to debug all this.. I'm not a programmer!

    hello.. Any soln. to my first problem??
    alltoavi just doesn't work for me..
    I guess the TRACK1 i'm mentioning is a H.264 file and I don't have the codec I believe .. atleast that's what G-Spot said!

    I know FFDShow will decode H.264, but I don't know about reencoding it. Give it a try?
