marco ®ion free non-apex dvd player?

I'm looking for a non-apex dvd player with good picture quality that can be made macrovision & region free either thru some remote control tricks or through a cd-r firwmare hack/upgrade. I dont really feel like popping it open and replacing chip(s) or something along those lines.



minimum feature's i would like;
cd-r & cd-rw compatability
vcd & svcd compatibility

optional & additional one's i would like;
xvcd & xsvcd compatibilty
mp3 compatibility
dvd-r & dvdrw compatibility
mini-dvd compatibilty


any help would be appreciated

click on dvdplayers compatibility list to the left,
select all the options you are looking for.
hit search

there must be a dozen players like that

i would do that, but there really is no "macrovision disabling" checkbox.. so i still need some help selecting a dvd player

Hi,

I can REALLY recommend the Amoisonic 8506 serie. I own one myself. It has a Dual Scart port. Is Region free/selectable (NO RCE problems!!) Macrovision free. Plays VCD, SVCD, MP3, DVD, DVD-R. But no MiniDVD. Plays some XVCD and XSVCD's. Has 2 Mic-in ports for Karaoke functions.
It's a great overall player.
