Okay, i just ripped a DVD and i would like to convert the vob's directly to AVI. I used Tmpeg but I don't get any audio. I'm not quite sure what I am doing wrong. I also tried DVD2AVI and I have the same problem. I can play AVI's that I downloaded without any problems.

i prefer to convert my rips to Mpeg 1 or 2 but the quality and size of AVI's are just hard to beat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
