  1. Hello lads,

I need to make a DVD from 3 or 4 .avi (episodes from LOST season 2) with AC3 audio and add the subtitle track for each episode.

DVDSP does not recognize the subtitles.

Is there any other way to make this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Manolo.

    Manolo,
I believe I covered this in the forum.
    STF for Subtitler.
You will need that to convert the .srt to DVDSP compatible
    .stl files.
I also have talked about how to apply them.

as for the avi, use MPEGStreamclip to convert the
.avi to DV Stream, then use Compressor
( AND A BIT RATE CALC) to make your mpeg-2 file and aiff.
Compressor ( at least IMHEwith v 1.1) sometimes
crashes on divx encoded .avi files, so that's why
    my reccommendation .avi->dv stream->compressor.
( you can also use QT Pro 7 to go .avi -> Mpeg-2).

    oh heck, because its Easter....

Another very simple (maybe the directest) way to get a DVD from several .avi + .str files with simple menus & togglable subtitles is to use the (freeware) Moviegate 2.0.
