Can somebody who knows how to do it, please write a quick tutorial?

I searched the boards and it looks like others are confused on how to batch render.

Go to The Vegas "Vasst" website http://www.vasst.com/search.aspx?category=Rendering, which has a couple of scripts for batch processing that you can download. That's a great site to get involved in anyway if you're a Vegas user.

Everytime i select a project, it automatically starts to render the 1st project w/o letting me select the other projects to render

Been a while since I last did that, but I think you have to:

    1. Put the clips in the timeline.
    2. Run a script that makes regions out of all those clip transitions
    3. Then, run the script with the "by region" checked.

    Try that. HTH,

  5. What if you have several finished Vegas projects and want to render them one by one via batch? I don't want to have to paste all my project-clips into one timeline, select regions and the render, that would be way to time consuming, I have over 40 projects.

I saw there is a script for what I want to do on VASST, but it is for Vegas 4.0 only. Where can I find a batch render script for Vegas 6.0? The built in script does not work the way I want it to, as snapware has already mentioned, it only lets you pick one project and then starts rendering.

  6. I found out the batch render script on the VASST website (see link below) does work for Vegas 6.0. One line in the script has to be edited however. The expression for render template needs to inserted, it's a very easy fix. After that it works great.

    Perhaps Veggie Toolkit can help?

    http://www.peachrock.com/software/veggie-toolkit.html

Haven't used it, but I was looking into it as a replacement for Procoder Express (to render multiple output targets from one project/source). Maybe it can batch render multiple VEG projects?

since vegas can network render - or render AS IF a netowrk render on the same machine ...

you can setup a render agent on your machine and just keep sending projects to it to batch render .... it is very easy to set up and pretty fool proof ...

complete details on how to set up your own machine as a render agent (vegas comes with 3 lic for rendering - which you should know) are on the sony vegas forum
