    i used the program for the first time with an avi file. the picture and sound are good, but when i play the disc back in the player it skips ever so slightly but constantly so that i cannot enjoy it. has anyone ever come across this ?

    Are you using "pull down" in the settings?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
