I believe it would work.
Most VCRs have only coaxial and RCA outputs.
If you buy a SVHS you will have s-video output.

Until someone answers from Brazil, I'd suggest that you shop for a "Multi-standard" VCR or DVD Recorder that does just that. Make sure the TV tuner can handle PAL-M or NTSC and that PAL-M input can be E-E (no recording) output in NTSC over S-Video.Originally Posted by penno90
