Hello All,
I would like to know if there is a small utility that will allow me to change the rating
of an authored DVD. I sometimes put together a DVD that may not be suitable for
all ages and would like to change to rating to R etc, and possibly change to region
code as well. I don't want to spend big buck buying some new authoring software
just to do a simple thing, so don't go on and on about some Adobe stuff etc.
Thanks,
Dougwx

I use a program called menu-shrink ( from tool section of this site ). The program allows the still frame in the menu to be change. maybe that will work.
Else, mark them with big 'R' and locked them away. -
The rating is just a graphic, it has nothing to do with the DVD itself. To change it you need to create a small still or motion clip in the correct mpeg2 video format, and replace the original rating clip with your new one. Or rip an existing rating clip from another disc. If this is aprt of the full movie clip it becomes more complex to do. Look at something like Vobblanker as a potential (and free) tool.

Do you mean setting the Parental Management Level so your DVD will prompt you for a passcode?
Is your DVD Player setup to request a passcode based on different levels of Parental Management Codes on the disc?
