I remember mine. I bought the Roxette album JOYRIDE. My family didn't jump to CD until about 1990. I know it was out about 1985 or something but you know you take your time to jump on new technology. Actually I remember our first home cd player for the stereo was about $120 or so (Sony). Worked great but I don't think it had a remote.

Nine Inch Nails, "Pretty Hate Machine". It was in 1993, and I still have it -- most of my cd's from that time period didn't survive the massive 3 year party that was my life from 1994-1996 (oddly enough, I can't really remember much from those 3 years...).

It didn't switch to CD until about 1997 and not fully until about 2000.

It just didn't make sense to spend 50-100%. I didn't own any good stereo equipment so it was a waste of money for me to buy cds.

The Jon Bon Jovi album "Blaze Of Glory: Songs inspired by the film Young Guns II".

Shortly after that, the floodgates opened, and I owned more cds than I could shake a stick at. This is very important as a teenager in high school. So what if I can't make the team, I have more cds than you will ever see!

That got me all the girls.
