I have a Microtek I320 scanner with the light bar adapter for scanning film.
The scanner does 3200 dpi. I placed the film flat on teh glass and the film scans in grainy. Not much detail at all.
I noticed the light adapter has a slot for the negatives and 35mm slides and etc. Does the 8mm have to be up away from the glass similar to where the slides would be if they were inserted into the light bar?
So far the filming of the 8mm with a camera inside a film box I built produces superior results with detail. I must be doing something wrong, just not sure what it is.
