Is This Really Possible?

I checked the realiability of these discs and for the most part they look good.They are Memorex DVD-R. (CMC MAG,AM3) The burner is a Pioneer DVR-106,firmware 1.00.It is the oem burner in a Sony PCV-RS420.I can not burn anything with these.I can put in another brand and a burning we go.Is it really possible that these disc just will not work in my Pioneer?

CMC MAG AM3 are very questionable media. Usually crap in most burners, but works ok in others. If you want highly compatable media, stick with verbatim or taiyo yuden.

Sorry about the title and thank you for the help.I would try the exact burn with a Verbatim and it worked perfectly.I'm just shocked that the Memorex will not work.
