Mac the Ripper unable to rip Liteon DVD

I've used MTR in the past to RIP meg2 file out of DVD's that I made using a Sony RDR-GX7. By doing this I was able to bring the files into DVD-SP and author menus with navigation. Recently changed to the Liteon LVW 5005 recorder and MTR is unable to RIP the DVD's. It goes through all of the motions and looks like it is working but when done it just creates an empty VIDEO_TS Folder. I set it to create separate streams. everything worked with the Sony files but not with Liteon. Any suggestions besides keep using Sony.

YadeX has not problem to extract chapters&scenes of my LiteOn 5006 burned DVD+RW.

For DVD-R don't forget to "finalize" before ripping.

Toast 7 should also handle even non-finalized DVD-R.

Thanks! Its great that there are so many more tools now for the Mac than there were a few years ago. I'll give these a try.

I have a similar problem with my CyberHome DVR 1600. I just use DVD20nex. It work fine to extract out individual shows, but can only do one at a time. I'll have to check if YadeX lets you extract more than one episode at a time.
