  1. I'm doing a home made video and I want to put soundtracks taken from famous movies in it. Is it legal to do that ?

  3. also, if you REALLY feel the need, you can try and contact the makers of the movies, and get permission, then it would be legal.......i dont think they would shoot you down if you said that you are using it for a personal non profit project......

    I guess it would depend on how serious a "home made" movie it is. If its just for your own kicks, then go ahead, no one will know or care.

    But there are pretty good hobby film makers out there who like to present their films at film festivals and things like that. In that case, you would not want to use any copyrighted material (music, sound effects or visuals).
