  1. I normally use DivxToDVD 0.5.2.99 to convert video to vob the to iso using DVD shrink and burn with ImgBurn. Doing it that way made me DVDs end up block when playing on my pioneer DVR-420H-S. Pioneer support said

Some PCs do not encode the video in compliance with the Video or VR mode standards, this can be the reason for the blocks you have seen, you may need to check and update the software you have on the PC."
I thought all DVD players were the same, whats the differences? Also does the above mean i need a different app to convert and or burn so they are playable on my pioneer DVR-420H-S if so any suggestions, thanks for all and any help you can supply.

All players supports standard dvd-video. But they may not support dvd-r/w or dvd+r/w or some crappy dvd media brands. So first try different dvd-r or dvd+r media.

and this is not dvd to avi,mp4,vcd,svcd...moving you.
