Hey all! I was at a computer store earlier today looking for a device that will upload the analog video from my camcorder onto my PC for digital editing. I saw this device for $50 called EasyTV. It is a device that transfers external video sources on to your PC through your USB port. I could not find out much about it on the Internet so I came here. I tried Googling it and I kept getting hits about an EasyTV internal capture card as opposed to the external device I saw earlier. On the box it said that it can record video which suits my needs but I was wondering if anyone here might know anything about it. Anyways, please feel free to reply if you know anything about it. Thank you for the help!![]()

Just a little update. I was doing some research on Google earlier today and I found out that this device is called the EasyTV Box. There are not many sites about it but I was able to find a site selling it. Anyways, I found a visual of the device so you guys can get a better understanding of it.
If anyone can give me an idea if this device is any good or not, please feel free to reply. Thanks!"They are coming to get you Barbara!" Johnny, Night of the Living Dead. -
No idea, but I try to avoid stuff with "Easy" in the product name. More often than not, it translates into "Crap", IMO!

lol I tend to agree, but who knows where a gem might be found. Then again, if looks were of any deciding factor, this thing has "cheap" written all over it.

Well, it looks cheap because it is cheap. Most capture devices are at least $100 and EasyTV is only half the price. The back of the box made it seem like it is good product by saying you can record TV, burn VCDs, DVDs, etc. I was wondering if this device would be any good for transferring analog video from my camcorder to my PC. Does anyone have any recommendations for me that are on a budget? Any help would be great, thanks!

WEll, googling on it you probably found the manufacturer's site, & the driver download depending on the chip used? Might want to find out, check out user reports of other products using same internals? (everything I saw regarding problems on yours was not english) Might also want to check the surplus sites -- very often some really cheap pricing on winTV models & Kworld stuff, though again google on the product & problems.

Well, I've tired searching for it all over the web (even using Google) and I am only finidng hits selling the product, no reviews. The device itself looks quite reliable and professionally made. If worse comes to worse, there is not much to lose with $50 but I have a feeling I will be safe. I will probably go to the store again sometime later this week to check it out and hopefully come to a conclusion sooner or later. Thank you for all the help you have given me, I greatly appreciate it.

This appears to be the Canadian importer: http://www.tommade.com/tvbox.htm If you look around the site a little you can find out it seems to be a mainland China company. Not much more about it on the web.

I would not be to quick to judge to quality of this product.
Based on the web site information TOMMADE is a ISO 9001 company following TQCS and TQM processes.
Many of these small mainland companys produce very high quality products. -
Well I plan on purchasing this product sometime this weekend and I'll test it out by importing some old home videos onto my PC for some cleaning up and burning onto DVD. I will be sure to tell you all how it goes. Thank you once again for all the help!
