Video from Olympics Italy

A friend of mine was at the olympics to watch his son compete in the luge. They didnt show it on USA tv so no one here was able to tape it for them. The people in Italy where they stayed taped it on their VCR. When they got home it wasn't on the tape. Is this because Italy use's a different format ? PAL ? Did the x-ray machine at the airport zap it ? If it is a different format , how can he view it or convert ? Thanks

Thanks for the info. There is streaming video of the kid on the net but I have tried to capture with Camstudio but it wont capture. Any Ideas. He had 2 runs and I would like to copy to avi. file.

Try wmrecorder.

If you use camstudio or other screen recorders you must disable hardware acceleration in wmp, Tools->Options->Performance and drag the video acceleration to None.
