AFAIK, if you mean that WMV-HD stuff like T2: Extreme Edition, it's ONLY playable on a PC, since it's DRM protected.

and yes - sometimes you can convert the WMV hd to dvd (reducing res in the process) , but not if copy protected

And of course, it had to look good to start with!

Most WMV is DRM protected and yes DRM has been decrypted BUT it is
very difficult and messy. Not worth the effort!

iso does not determine whether it has DRM or not. DRM is embedded right into the video file itself.

Try playing it on your PC and see what happens.

  13. messy as in, requires a fresh install of windows xp without any service packs...if i remember correctly at least...then there's still other things you gotta do after that, even.........i'd be more interested in taking the HD WMV though, and converting it to HD Divx and playing it back on one of the few dvd players that can do that.........now THAT would be a cool sight after all was said and done

All of those WMV-HD movies (disc 2) come with the same movie on regular DVD on disc 1.

You won't be able to get better quality in your DVD conversion from WMV-HD than they did for their DVD coming from a film transfer.
