  1. I bought a Sony dvd handycam and want to share some videos online but since it records on dvd I need to convert to something that is compatible with windows movie maker so I can edit it. What is there for free ware that will convert it so I can import to WMM. If I would have known it would have been this much trouble I would have bought something else a little easier.

Yep MiniDV would have been a better choice. A DVD camcorder records ... a DVD with Video_TS folder. Thus you need to extract video and audio the same way as any other nonencrypted DVD. Many guides are shown to the left.

BTW, WMM will not import a DVD directly.

Alternatively, check your manual for streaming options over USB. There should be some software bundled. Possibly, WMM can see those.

1)I know WMM doesn't import a ts folder thats the reason for this post.

2)And the sony DCR-DVD92 does not support pc connection so my best bet it to convert the video_ts folder so eaither WMM or something else can import it thats what I am looking for info on.

  4. I think I got Autogk figured out to work. But where do you get the DivX codec for it?

Don't worry about it. XVID is like a PGL version of DIVX.

  9. I tried to do my first video I want to up load everything went ok but no sound on finished video. Here is what I did: 1) Put movie on computer with decrypter in ISO I mode enabled streaming process and on both audio and video checked demux mode and started. 2) Then opened Autogk and added file and started but noticed there no audio tracks under the audio tracks section (noticed this after was done) 3)Opened wmm and played it but no sound. I an thinking I did something wrong in decrypter. Anyone have any ideas I am sure since I am a noob it is something easy that I didn't see. Thanks for your time.

AutoGK should have produced an AC3 or MP3 or MP2 or some sort of sound file in the AGK_TMP folder if it did process the sounds. If you don't see the files, there is no sound at all.

If you do see the file, just mux it back with the appropriate tool.

  11. I think it is something in decrypter because when I find the file from it in autogk in the audio track section ther is no audio tracks listed.

Well, it's simple to test. Load DVDShrink and see if it can extract the soundtrack from the DVD directly. If DVDShrink doesn't see it either, or can't do it, then there's no point in blaming DVD Decrypter.

Why not turn OFF stream processing and just have DVD Decrypter grab EVERYTHING?
