OK, this isn't so much a bump as an edit for clarity -- hope that's acceptable.

I just got a Presidian 3222 (Lite-on 1105) DVD recorder. Finalized DVD-R discs play fine on my Panasonic RV26, except for one annoying problem.

Problem: On the RV26, if I press the chapter skip button, the audio mutes. I can turn it back on by pressing "pause", then "play", or pressing "audio" and selecting a track.

No other discs do this on the RV26, just ones written by the 3222.

Any hints on how I might edit the 3222 output to fix this? It seems like there must be something odd in the VOBs written by the 3222 that can be corrected, but I just haven't been able to figure it out.

Please don't make me go back to dubbing my old VHS with Pinnacle Studio 8! That's just cruel!

To answer my own question, demuxing and reauthoring in ifoedit fixed it (well, of course). I was kind of hoping for a more direct, elegant solution but at least I have a workaround now.

guess I'll keep experimenting, like to know exactly what causes this.
