The back of the television in my room has no audio, video inputs just 1 input for 1 cable. If I want to watch DVDs on the tv in my room what cable will i have to buy to be able to hook up the dvd player to just the 1 input. (i am told running the dvd player through my vcr is not an option)

You gotta buy a device called an RF Modulator, it basically is a black box that takes the av inputs and converts it to a coaxil cable signal on channel 3 much like a vcr does. The reason you cannot run it through your vcr is because of macrovision protection in commerical, if you are just planning on watching vcd, svcd or homemade dvds you can run it through your vcr no problem. The RF Modulator is about $22 usd
