  1. I have just tried burning on the latest version of CloneDVD version 2.8.8.1 and I have run into some problems you might want to watch out for. I tried a normal burn and even though my BenQ 1620 "pretended" to burn with no problems I found that there was nothing on the disc. I initially thought that this was another BenQ dying and then I found the same problem on my NEC 3520. When I burned with the last version of CloneDVD there is no problem and the burns really are OK.

While it is always possible that I have something else going on, There was no problem a few hours ago and this seems to be CloneDVD related, especially as they had the exact same difficulty with a previous update so you might want to make sure of your burns. I plan to do more extensive testing later and I should have something more final.
Still a few bugs in the system...

  2. It looks as though I just had a coincidental failure of the BenQ and an open disc as I just got a good burn from the NEC with the latest version. Hopefully this was just a false alarm, Sorry.

  3. Well, now Clone 2.8.8.2 is freezing and mis-burning with my NEC and Liteon as well. When I go back to 2.8.5.1 I get no trouble. Hard to say what is going on but I am holding off on the upgrade until the next version.
