I went down there this afternoon.

    WHAT FUN!!!!

TONS of people downtown despite the rain and snow. And everyone was happy

I didn't go to the NFL EXPERIENCE. I didn't preorder tickets and the lines were HUGE to go to COBO HALL. But there was stuff everywhere. I went to the RENCEN (GM PLACE) where they had the Radio Row with all the press reporting. I think you had to have special passes to go down to the main level but it was a giant atrium and you could look down on the ESPN booth and the mock football field they use.

It was chilly and wet but everyone was having a good time.

    I'll post some pics later.

Here are some pics I took:

You could take a ride in a real model T

Here's one view of the crowds downtown this afternoon:

This is the Ice Rink at Campus Martius:

Here's the sledhill though it has been so warm this week that they were only allowing children under 3 feet tall on it.

They had a team of sleddogs but again it was really warm this week so the snow wasn't really an option.

This is what it was like inside the rencen with the media:

Another of the tents inside the rencen:

Here's the Spirit Of Detroit decked out in a Lions uniform with the Number 40 on it for Superbowl 40:

All in all it was a lot of fun and worth the time.

    GO DETROIT!!!!!!
