Did you use AnyDVD in the background, or use a ripper to do this ? If not, chances are the files are encrypted.

If it isn't a commercial disc, then you could use IFOEdit to create a new set of IFO files, or you could just keep the VOB files and load them into TDA - it doesn't have to have IFO files.

If you don't know why the IFO isn't readable, how will you know what to edit ? Like I said previously, you can use IFOEdit to create new IFO files - just follow the link and look at the Guides list for IFOEdit.

I know TDA doesn't need them because in some instances you need to delete the IFO files to get TDA to load DivxtoDVD created VOB files.

Even if TDA can use a ready authored DVD as input, that is not the primary use for any DVD authoring app - m2v video and LPCM/AC3/mp2 audio is the "native" source file formats when authoring.

TDA will accept VOB files without a IFO file. You have to use 'Add file' instead of 'Add DVD file'. Set file type to recognize all files.

You'll have to make new chapters. If the VOB has more than 1 audio track it will use the 1st track.

If you want to edit an already authored DVD can I suggest PGCEdit?
This app is great at working through IFO issues, especially when used with
    IFOEdit.
