Hi. I want to load some MPEGs into Auto Gordian Knot and convert them to AVIs, but the Auto Crop feature isn't always accurate.
Is there a small utility, hopefully freeware, into which I can load an MPEG and measure how many pixels need to be cropped? (TMPGEnc won't work because most of my files are MPEG2s.)

Don't crop them. Mask them. Otherwise your video will be stretched on tv. They also can never be re-converted back to DVD.

I won't be discarding the source material, so converting back to DVD isn't an issue. In either event, though, is there a simple utility that could help me gauge how much to crop OR mask them?
Thanks for responding, by the way. -
Hi-
Make a D2V project file using DGIndex. Open it in the more fully featured Gordian Knot and go to the Resolution Tab. Make sure the Input Pixel Aspect Ratio is set correctly. Then you can crop and get the crop values to use in AutoGK.
