Unbelievable! Strange! Any suggestions welcome and thanks
    in advance.

When the divx players play the DVD, they see many files instead
of one (filename001.avi, filename002.avi, etc), and can play the
first say minute of the avi file, then stop and cant play any more
    of it.

I've been ripping a large amount of movies captured from my
ATI all in wonder 9000 in MPEG4 (divx sees it as divx). Ripped
    with Roxio, CDFS.

All the following fail to play the DVD 'properly' but play the beginning:
RJ-Tech RJ-350PDVX (this can play the avi file properly when
it was burned to a CD).
    Phillips DVP642/37
    Phillips PET1000
Yamaha, Zenith, whatever I could find on the floor at Best Buy
    and Circuit City

I'm pretty sure this isn't an encoding problem as the RJ-Tech played
the same file properly when on a CD. I just dont understand what
the file system problem would be as I've burned it as ISO (CDFS)
and the files play fine on PCs from the DVD.

Any suggestions? Anyone know what the problem is and are there
any Divx players out there that don't have this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Fos

Is it possible that all those players don't accept DivX on a DVD (ie it must be on a CD) ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Bump man!

This is a big problem for me. I wont be able to find a stand alone
player for this. Any body have success with AVI/MPEG4/Divx files
playing on stand alone equipment with either microsoft file systems
    or ISO file systems?

    Thanks

My player (Zensonic Z330) plays files burnt with the UDF/ISO template in Nero.
    If in doubt, Google it.
