I've used Toast 7 in the past for PSP conversion, but lately, not getting any useable results.

Running Toast 7.02 and PSP firmware 2.6. Tried to convert video podcasts from iTMS that ffmpegx choked on and got the xxxxxx.mp4 and .thm files from toast, but once on PSP only get "unsupported data" message. Being skeptical that it could really convert iTMS offerings, I put just a plain old divx file in (read as DIVX Home Theater Profile by Toast), and get the same "unsupported" message on PSP. FFMPEGX handled the plain divx file fine, but toast no longer gives me anything the PSP can read, no matter what the input source is.

Anyone out there having this problem or heard of a fix.

    Thanks,

    Ed

Downgrade your version of Toast to a version that worked. As I understand it, PSP video must be specially muxed or it will reject the file. If Toast 7.0.2 introduced a bug in that area, just going back to a version where it worked correctly will have to do until the bugs are fixed. Did it work before?

  3. There is a bug in Toast 7.0.2 that causes files over 15 minutes long to not play on the PSP. I don't know if this is related to a firmware update on the PSP, or if this was an issues with 7.0.1 also.

Thanks for the input, guys. This was mostly an academic question, as ffmpegx is good for 99% of my PSP needs. Toast certainly used to work, so the bug was introduced since 7.0. Not very useful if it only works for files under 15 min, is it!?
