    hi,
ok.... so you downloaded a *.zip file... that is a compressed file that contains one or more files inside it....

and you need a unzipping program to extract those files.....

winzip is a unzipping program.... however what you download is a demo version unless you buy...... now there many freeware unzipping programs go to tucows.com or zdnet.com you 'll find them there.....

OR using your windows explorer (ifwinxp) do a right click on the zipped file and click "extract to...."

  8. Ease up ray316. He provided a link that answered your question within 20 minutes of you posting it.

It was a surprising request, given the demanding nature of the hobby/profession that brings us all here. We are all newbies at some point, and you have to expect a little good natured ribbing. A thin skin will get you little, in the way of the respect you are looking for.

  11. Thanks ray316 - a good attitude. BTW Xylob's suggestion is a good one to consider as you will eventually run across other types of compression formats other than ZIP. Rar is such a format.

I Recommend 7zip. Does the job & is open source to boot. Fine Program.

There are many ways to measure success. You just have to find your own yardstick.
