I am looking to purchase Inkjet printaable disks for my Epson R300 to print on and merritline has BenQ 8X DVD+R Blank Media 4.7GB White Inkjet Hub Printable General Purpose, for 29 cents each in a pack of 100, is this a good brand, how well does the surface take the ink?

  2. Benq 8x DVD+R white, inkjet printable media is internally identified as Daxon media. And it has worked great for me so far. The package identifies it as 8x media, but the internal identifier supports 16x burning. I burn to optical media pretty conservatively as I care about quality - and not speed/volume, so I've been burning this at 4x. I have not had a single problem, or burn failure with it (in my Benq 1620). And the print quality on the media using my Epson R320 (which is the exact same printer as your R300 except with the small display added) has been excellent.
Be sure to burn the media before printing - and let the ink dry for about a day before playing, since this is hub printable media.

Rich86, thanks for the great review of BENQ DVD media, that eases my mind a bunch and I went ahead and ordered the disks, I will post my thoughts on on them after I burn and print a few.
