I bought a old dvd of education films off of ebay.
The disc is considered by xp in my 8 x -/+r drive to be blank but that its full as far as added things to it. No files are listed when i try to view the disc.

On my tvs I have 2 dvd players

One my dvd player with divx-mp4 (i can watch divix files,avi,,mp4 on it wilth out any conversion to dvd/vcd) it plays, on my cheap dvd player ($30 from walmart) it will not play. Any ideas about this disc, I have tried dvdcrypter I wanted to makea backup of it.(the films are all public domain).

I have never come across this before, a way to block the pc from viewing the files.

    Any ideas?

  2. Use Isobuster to look at the files on the disc. You can also extract them to the HD with it.

ok, I TRied that, all i got was a track that was 2k in size. other then that isobuster could not extract the 2k file off of the disc..there is over 2hours of video on this disc, could this 2k file block the whole disc some how? The rest of windows says i basicly have a blank disk. Dvddycriptor and dvd shrink say that there is no disc in the drive is blank. I wouild think if my tv dvd player which has divix/mpg4 can read there must be a way to get my pc to read it.

Must be a multi-session disc... But somehow the session is not visible. I'd check Isobuster again and see if it can uncover previous sessions or something to that effect.
