Hi,
Just tried to burn my first dual layer dvd (a Traxdata DVD+R DL).
All appeared to be working normally, until it came up with 'DVD Writer internal error', and wrote off the blank disc.
I'm not really sure what the problem is, and I don't really want to keep on
destroying blank discs.
Was wondering if anyone else had the same problem.
I'm not sure which company makes the writers in Siemens- Fujitsu computers and was wondering if there was a compatability issue with certain disc types.

What program are you burning with? It may be a problem with bad handling of the layer break.
Also you might try Verbatim DLs, they seem to have good compatibility compared to other DLs.
EDIT: To save us asking other questions, such as OS used, type of computer, laptop, tower, amount of memory, etc. It would help greatly to fill out your computer details. The model number of the computer may be helpful also.
If you don't give sufficient information, you are unlikely to get answers.
Also what method did you use to produce the DVD you are trying to burn?
