Hi,
After reading the manual front to back and speaking to a customer support representative, a very simple answer is eluding me.![]()
What is the bitrate for Dolby Digital audio when recording? 224, 256, 384, something else? Can it be selected?
Thanks in advance.![]()

TMPGEnc DVD Author shows that it is 256 kbps. I'm not aware of any way to change it.

Thanks. I was hoping it would be over 224. I guess I can live with that.
It's funny, because the "expert" on their help line told me the format was "2-channel stereo". He couldn't elaborate beyond that. But he was sure that Dolby was only supported for playback, not recording.
It's nice to be in the presence of people who actually know something. -
if you record in FINE or MN32 mode its 1536kbps LPCM audio.
