I made a video with Virtualdub-MPEG and the X264 codec.
When I play the vidoe with WINDOWS MEDIAPLAYER and MEDIAPLAYER CLASSIC, the audio and video is a little out of synch even from the beginning.
When I play the movie with Virtualdub and VLC mediaplayer then the audio and video are OK. From where does this difference come ?

avi and more importantly VfW wasn't designed for advanced stuff like AVC and can't properly handle bframes, etc. . Try encoding to mp4 or mkv via the cli encoder. You get all the options that way to.

Either way, I would highly recommend that people don't use x264 in avi. You have lost the only advantage that avi ever had anyway; standalone compatibility.
