winavi video capture removes macrovision

could someone please tell me if there are any other software programs out there that remove macrovision.there must be some as winavi video capture removes it as your capturing from a vcr as i have done it myself.the only problem i've come accross is that now i can't pick up anything.when i launch winavi video capture i just get a black screen.i've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but still the problem exists.can someone please help by letting me know what they think it could be.

I thought the macrovision detection was built into the hardware drivers by the folks who built the capture card. AT any rate, if your capture device isn't working, don't know that other software might make it any better.
