  1. Hi!

Have my SONY DVP-NS900V for about 1 month now. Great device, plays all kinds of media (except MP3 - but I have an m3po for that).

I did a lot of VCDs with menus and they play perfectly with PBC (display menus) and without PBC (no menus, just the video tracks).

Yesterday I did my first SuperVideoCD (with Roxio VideoPack 5) and it seems as if the player can't display the menus. When I play the disc it immediately starts the Video, I can't access the menus (like playing a VCD without PBC).

When playing the disc with WinDVD or PowerDVD, the menus display and the routing works.

Is there something special that I have to consider when authoring a SVCD?

Could someone please explain the directory structure on a SVCD?

Is the SONY player not able to display SVCD menus by design or has someone with the same player been able to display SVCD menus on this player?

    Thank you in advance!
