I am producing DVD's from Sky+ recordings of TV programmes via an attached DVD writer. When I put the DVD-RAM disc from the latter in my PC it plays OK. When however I transfer the DVD_RTAV file to my PC hard drive and then try and play it from there, none of my players (WinDVD, WMP etc.) will play ball. I did not have this problem a few days ago, so something seems to have happened very recently. When this happens with WinDVD I get the following error signature: "AppName: windvd.exe AppVer: 7.0.27.71 ModName: gpiproxy.dll
    ModVer: 6.0.88.0 Offset: 0009678d"

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried removing/reinstallaing WinDVD? It could be a corrupt file/driver.
