  1. hi i've been trying to add subtitles to mp4's for ages since i got my psp but havent found anything. i then stumbled upon yamb and was able to get it working. when i tried to mux my mp4 file with a subtitle (.srt) file, the log said the mux was successfully completed but when i played back my mp4 file, there were no subs.

i also tried demuxing the mp4 file to its video and audio components first (using yamb) before i tried muxing it again, along with the subtitles, but it still didnt work. can anybody help me?

I don't think the psp support switchable subs in mp4. So you must reencode the video with permanent subtitles. Open the video in for example virtualdub and add srt subs with textsub, encode.

Or try google for mp4 subtitles psp, like http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:AlDUQY_qPA0J:www.click-now.net/forums/index.php%3...ient=firefox-a

  3. yeah i know they don't support .srt and stuff but umm doesnt yamb sorta injects subs into the mp4 file without re-encoding it again? i've actually created a mp4 with subs on the fly (i.e the subs were produced into the mp4 without having to re-encode) using psp movie creator because it had a preview box and directvobsub recognised it etc, etc. but for some reason when i tried it again, it didnt work

yamb muxes the subs as ttext. As said, it is highly likely that the PSP simply doesn't support them.
