I am having major problems trying to burn some .vob files
I have selected DVD Video in nero, dragged the vob's to the correct folder but this is now the fifth time its failed to burn, it always fails at the 1% mark, i am using the same media i always have, and up until recently have not had any problems, i just tried to upgrade my firmware on my burner but still i have the same problem
This is the log from nero if anyone with a bit more knowledge can have a look i would appreciate it
Cheers

Seem's slow this time of year .. ok .. what the ? is that scsi thing listed in the four drives you have shown ... it's a good chance it's where the problem is currently .
I would remove scsi hardware , and system drivers for such devices and try again ... error seem's related further down in that post of your's .
Try nero after , if no go , uninstall nero , reboot pc , reinstall and try again ... if no .
Install avg , give it a shot to see if something dodgy got in the pc .
Install addaware , it should hunt out problems in registry .
Try nero again ... no .
Ok , stop using nero for the time being , and try using imagetools to burn the dvd's , if it works , fine , if not , move to next option .
You could also use dvd-decryptor to burn an iso image .
To create iso , you may need dvdauthorgui , has mkisofs in it , as pcgedit requires it .
Load dvd in pcgedit , then File , Burn dvd / Create iso
There are three options , links to external tools , these need to be correct .
You also need to set the dvd burner drive letter .
If mkisofs is available , pcgedit will complian if dvd burner letter is not set , but will create iso , that dvd-decrypter can burn later .
If the two methods mentioned above work , then the problem exists in nero , file corruption in the main product ... a clean unistall and reinstall my fix problem .
The only way to test the physical drive is to get it too another pc for testing , then you'll be able to asses if its the drive having problem .
If the drive is fine , and nero reload still wont work , the problem is embedded in the os elsewhere .
These can be caused by the installation of new , recent programs either downloaded or bought .. there are a number of these that conflict with other products .. I have seen too many this year already .
Quickest way to make an enemy of me , is to release a product that interferes with bbmpeg ... serifs movie product dose this ... cannot access bbmpegs settings if this is installed ... I'll burn their house down later ... uninstall serif product cure's problem .
Use system restore to return to when things were working well , if it's possible ...
Warning : Any program installed after restore point , when restore is used , all of these programs "exe's" will be nulled ... you will need to unistall all non opperating programs , then reinstall them , to get them back up and running ... ms failed to warn user's of this trap .
Ok : Clean reinstall .
1 : Backup favs to zip file
2 : Export your contacts from email program .
3 : Copy important emails .
4 : Write down you internet access details .
5 : Backup any file you think important to keep .
6 : Download the latest drivers for all pc hardware , backup as well .
Transfer all by burning to cd , if that dosent work , floppy , second hard drive , network connected pc .
Only then should you proceed with next step .
last and final way to get things up and running again , is to completely reload the os of the pc ... a clean reinstall ... never use xp's "may I fix it for you" when booting from xp's cd ... it will stuff things right up .
If you have usb2 :
Latest edition : install xp with sp2 , then install all hardware drivers .
Xp without sp2 : Install xp , then system drivers (not usb2) , install sp2 , then install motherboard usb2 drivers .... thats the correct way .
See how you go ...
