I have a quick question about some error I get when I'm trying to save a DVD as mp4 using Nero Recode... I have error log and all, and just want to hear if anyone has a easy solution for this...
But... every forum seems to be "DO NOT ask about DVD ripping" !
Is the policy to not ask about that couse of copyright etc? Or is there a place where that sort of topics fit in?

    Thank you for your time...

    DVD to DVDR
Everything about DVD ripping, copying, decoding, encoding, reauthoring and burning from commercial DVD-Video to DVD±R/W. But no DVD to VCD,SVCD,CVD, XVCD,DivX here please. And no DVD±RW and DVD-VR to DVD±RW here.

... but if you're converting to MP4, then it could quite easily go into any of the conversion forums, or even DVD to (S)VCD/AVI, as the ripping is just a small part of the whole operation.

DVD to (S)VCD/AVI would be my choice ....
    If in doubt, Google it.

If you are in doubt about which forum to use here, the 'Newbie, General discussions' is always a good choice. If you get it wrong, a mod can move it for you.

As long as you are backing up a video you own there's no problem with discussing 'ripping'. You can always follow the information in red at the top of the page when you post. Those are the forum rules. It's not that hard.

    Go ahead and ask.
