I learned to use it a couple of days ago and while it's a godsend for quick, simple projectsI have a problem with the button higlights. The main menu buttons work fine, colors are correct. When I preview it with MPC the menu buttons look fine but when I view it with sw player like PowerDVD or even my own standalone player I have the following problem. For the submenus I get a cursor-looking line after the button whenever I highlight a text/graphic button to go to another menu. This has the same color as the highlight color. Not so bothersome but on the last menu the highlights always have a faded out look and even have a combed look to it, like the masking is interlaced.

I have the transparency set to 25% right now, menu aspect to 16:9 and am using still menus. The # of frames is set to 15. The initial background were screen caps using GFDChapterEdit. I have even tried changing the background to a single solid color but the same thing continued to happen. Any ideas what might cause this? I'm using the latest version of GFD full installer. Any more info needed let me know.

I know the problem with the 'cursor like' line i.e. for text buttons of 'fill only' type highlight. I have not found a solution (or simply a cause) for it yet. I think it's an error of spumux. The XXXhigh.png file doesn't contain this line (as you can check with any image processing program like photoshop or the gimp). I also found out, that it seems to depend on the 'color contrast' between background and highlight (blue background + red highlight => red line; blue background + green highlight => no 'line'). As I use highlight by gifmasks now (more or less for all buttons), it is not a 'big problem' for me any more.

Sorry, had some other issues with my system and could not get back until today. I did notice that by changing the color and the transparency it seemed to get rid of or make this less noticeable. No biggie then, just have to use Gifs, more fun anyways. Great program though, makes making DVD for lots of projects a lot easier when I don't want to fire up Sonic or Maestro.
I'll send over some pics ASAP. Strange thing is the main menu looks fine but the submenus are the the ones that don't. I even changed the background for all the submenus and the highlights to be the same as the main but it still happens. -
Well, don't know what I did could've been a performance issue but after defragging and scanning my drive the second issue I described is gone now. Thanks a lot though for letting me know the cursor-like line is an issue with the program/color combo. Keep improving it, works great!
