I'm dubbing my Supernatural tape to the computer right now. I like his singles but never listened to a whole album. I like it. Even though I'm not a fluent speaker of Spanish (though I took a few years in high school and college) its enjoyable.![]()

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

A little buzz helps to make it more enjoyable, but you will forget what tracks you listened to already but you will forget what tracks you listened to already
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT? -
Eh that's not the real Santana, though its good he's finally getting some recognition. The older stuff is where its at. Give me Black Magic Woman anyday.

Just out of curiosity what do you use to dub your tapes to the computer? I have done tons of video format conversion (digibeta, betasp, vhs....), but never audio. I am thinking a simple audio player and an 1/8th pin that goes into the system should be enough, right? and then capture the audio using Audition

Crap... crap...crap. The Santana of today is mere shadow of the Santana of yesteryear. He might as well be relegated to the label of "guest performer". He takes other people's songs, has them perform them, and he plays some nonsensical flamenco on electric guitar solo over them. How can you package this as Santana?

Santana has always been a mediocre guitarist at best anyway.....no matter what era we are talking about. Sure he has a very unique sound but his speed and timing are nothing to go "ga-ga" over. The late 70's - early 80's Santana Band with Ligertwood singing was awesome. They've been pretty crappy since letting Ligertwood go.

I heard a couple of the newer ones on a radio (couldnt change the station where I was) and it sounded to me that he was clinging to his career with the "guest" singers (who can't sing very well.) But what I noticed the most...he like to hold a note for a long time! Sometime I wonder if he was ever in the studio at the same time as the "singers."

I'll have to agree with rallynavvie there. I know it was released back in '99, but from where the heck did you even buy a tape?
My neighbor had the CD of an old vinyl album of mine. I loaned it to him and the next day, he gave me a very good "format shift" CD
