I am waiting for the photographer to hand over the pic. My bro and his bride took some scenery pic which will fit nicely on the front cover.

Looks really good. Only things I would do(and I'm a newbie so take that for what it is worth) is to use a soft glowing light for the cover instead of the fast motion effect. Like capturing a radiant moment in their life. The DVD menu looks great, the font is awesome. Just use that for the cover. One thing I noticed that might make the DVD menu a little more fluid is to soften the edges of the stills of the wedding party. The edges of the pics are very pronounced. Looks good though, your bro will definitely like it.

Your bro might like it, but your bro's bride probably won't be too hot on it. I don't know of any bride who wishes to have her (and remember, weddings are mostly for the brides) cherished day featured by a picture of her where all you can see of her face is one eye! Your brother's hand and the glass cover virtually all of her face.
You really need a different main picture where you can see her and your bro. You might not have another picture of them toasting, but perhaps you have a good one of them cutting the cake or some other key point.
Also, the motion blur behind her head and neck is too strong, along with the white too pronounced, and is distracting from the main point in the image. The non-motion blur (regular blur) behind your brother is much, much more appealing and would be far and away better behind the bride.
Other than that, and the softer edges mentioned before, good job and talent.
Cheers,
Dobermann -
There's nothing wrong with it. Design-wise, it's technically sound. That's something most people cannot do, correct design and layout. I'm not sure the style does anything for me, fonts and colors, but that's up to you and the (hopefully) happy couple. Pink is hard to read, and anything on pink is hard to read, unless it's a less saturated shade.
You may also want to test print the cover, sometimes what you make on screen does not print well. Inkjet is really bad about this. Color laser, not so much. Be sure the monitor is calibrated to the printer, so all the shades and levels match to what you designed.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I agree that the main photo sucks. The bride is all effects and the groom is a lush. Use something that respects them.

i'm not sure who you are agreeing with...noone said the picture "sucked".
I do think it is geared more towards the male in this cover. the fact that it is being made to look like a hollywood production is kinda neat to us nerds but i'm not sure what they'll think about it.
if they are paying you for it, i'd run a few ideas by them and see what they want....i recently did a wedding and asked the couple if they had anything they wanted to see in their video or menu designs..after all, it's THEIR wedding..they wanted a picture they took from their honeymoon! it wasn't a wedding photo at all...:P
anyways...if they aren't paying for it then do it till you like it and you think they'll like it. If you're like me you will obsess over every little detail and not want them to see it at all until it is in final "masterpeice" form
good luck with it! -

lol. what a heated discussion. well just to answer a couple of question first.
1.i am going to leave that pic b/c in the front they will be a portrait of them.yes you'll see her face
2.i am tailoring to the bride's taste. her favorite color is pink
3.i am not doing this for money. more as for experience and to improve in my flash, photoshop, video editing skills.
i am puting a slideshow together with very small video footage. my preview slideshow is already 3gb and i haven't included the video yet!
4.about the effect being too strong. i am going to add some txt which will draw the attention away.
thanks again for all the constructive criticisms. i 'll take those into consideration. some minor changes to this update. mainly the font. i like this font better so does other ppl that i had talked too.

you're really reaching here. if you didn't mean it sucked then you shouldn't have said it sucked. If you meant it's "not good" you should have said "not good".
