I cross country ski when its deep enough. No trails though - just around the neighborhood or in open fields.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I would like to try snowboarding, I did the skate board thing 25 years ago, no trick stuff just pure speed, parking decks and steep hills. Doing some kind of solom on a snow board would be enough for me, I am a little big to be grabbing air but I do dig on speed! I would like to try a water surf board somtime too, but at 280lbs I think that I would need a 30' board!
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

Wakeboard or inland surfing? I have a 220 lb friend that does both.

Most common snow boarding injury is broken wrists. Many gloves have wrist guards built in. Most common ski injury--soft tissue knee (ortho surgery). Most boarders are mountain carvers.Highly recommended.
