is it really worth it to go thru all the trouble of buying a pixma, modding it ets...when an R200 w/an R220 works perfectly??????

It depends on what other things you need or care about. The Pixma printers (most of them, like the 4000) will print duplex. If printing duplex is important, then get the Pixma. Some people have said things about the Epson ink smearing, but I think if you let it dry, it won't be a problem. If none of this crap is important to you, get the Epson because it is less hassle than modifying a Pixma with parts that are supposed to be available in Europe only.
I have a Pixma 8500, and I suppose I might be able to modify it to print on CDs, but I don't care. Sharpies are fine with me. -
P. S. I know the R200s are pretty reasonably-priced, but I think you can still get a C86 for less than $99. I believe that will also print on CDs.
