    Hi,
I just got this at walmart for 68 dollars. My only problem is that I cant backup a dvd from another dvd player.
    It says copyright protected.
It is not a crime to backup a copy for yourself. Is there a way I can turn this off?

    Thanks,

    Greg

  2. Mostlikely the output ports (Audio / Video) are being protected (for lack of better term) by MacroVision.

Search on MacroVision for a better understanding, and to defeat it you'll need a little black box that sits between the units and removes the MacroVision protection.

For informational purposes, here's an example of a black box you'll need :

  6. There is no hack for the Cyberhome or the ilo 05 which is Cyberhome.
If trying to copy protected media, you have the wrong recorder

You will spend a lot of money and have marginal results with a BOX
