  1. Yeah, I am used to DVDAuthorGui which works fine for my needs. It does stink that each mpg is created as "title", therefore for playing it on PowerDVD requires me to select it individually as opposed to playing the whole DVD automatically (or I am using PowerDVD wrong). I am using PowerDVD 6 OEM.

    Here are two questions;

    I am looking for DVDAuthorGui alternative or DVDAuthorGui "tweak" that would allow me to Drop my 48Khz VCDs or DVD compliant mpg's without having the demultiplexing done?

    And for my above mentioned trouble, what could be done other than joining MPG's (cause IT WILL screw up audio video sync simply because of "joining" with tmpgenc).

    On THE OTHER hand what really would be the best is to make a VideoCD but on a DVD+-RW. THAT Way both problems are gone.

    I think you you can do this by creating the VOB's beforehand but I don't know what you could use. You could join the VOB's with VOBEdit once you have created them. You then create your own custom xml files but it's not that easy at first. Saying that I'm not 100% sure but I'm sure I did it while playing with dvdauthor ages ago trying to stop it doing everything

    I'm sure one of the dvdauthor experts will soon tell us more and there's probably much better methods for your issue as mine are mostly all old school now

    If you choose the option in PowerDvd to open DVD folder on hard drive then you should be able to play the whole DVD

    If you just want to test the sync on some elementary streams you can load the mpv file into BSPlayer and then pause and load a separate audio file. Seeking speed is not good however.

    Both DVDAuthorGui and GUI for dvdauthor can use multiplexed files, but they have to be not only 'DVD compliant' but also dvdauthor compliant (they must contain navigation packets). For DVDAuthorGui you need to rename the mpegs to vob. Both GUIs support a 'play all' function, it just depends on the setup.

    You can put mpeg files directly on a DVD+-RW and burn them as 'data'. For your PC that is no problem at all. If and how a stand alone DVD player will play it, depends on the player. Most cheap players will, others not (or only the first title...)
