Greetings...I purchased a Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge to capture analog video from my old camcorder. It works fine. However, I wanted to get some feedback from other members on whether capturing analog video via my graphics card is a reasonable low-cost solution for capturing analog video instead of the expensive DV-Bridge.

I have a Asus AGP v7700 Deluxe Geforce2 video card that can process video input via a S-Video connection. I have been able to capture video from my analog camcorder via the card, however, I cannot capture the analog sound from the camcorder.

My specific questions are:

1) Since the video card has no sound input connection, can I capture camcorder sound via my sound card's Line In connector?

2) If the answer to #1 above is yes, is there any specific configuration/tricks needed? If the answer to #1 is No, how do you capture analog sound via a video card? Do I need a particular video card?

3) SHould I simply keep the Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge as it is a better capture device than a video card?

Any advice would be appreciated.
