  1. Hi, I am using Dvd Shrink to burn 2 concerts into 1 dvd. I am ripping the 1st movie with DVD Shrink and when it tells me to burn I cancel it. Then I insert the 2nd DVD and do the same thing in a different folder on my computer then I also tell it to cancell the burn.
Third step is to open files from the computer and then re-author the dvd with both the ripped files in both of the files created previously to then burn the DVD with both concerts (dvd1 +dvd2). Is there a possible way to Have DVD Shrink ask to insert every disk for the ripping and then burning at the end? For example, inserting the first dvd, analyze it, re-author it, take it out, then do the same with dvd 2 then burn both titles that DVD shrink has ripped?.
I know it sounds kind of the same thing that I am doing but I am looking to simplify the process of burning 2 movies/concerts into one DVD with DVD Shrink. If there is any other software outhere that can do this a lot easier, suggestions are appreciated as well. Thanks.

@copiche, yes, I simply run both disk through shrink and save to HD, then when I load the first movie I will reauthor then hit the browse folder onb the left side of the page and find your second disk, and simply drag that over to the re-author stage. It will have Title and then Title (2)...then backup to either HD, Dvd 5 or Dvd 9 (DL) or create ISO and burn with Nero, Decrypter or ImgBurn. I personally use Dvd2One to join movies (Like Band of Brothers), but it cost $ (not a lot but it isn't free like shrink).
    Happy burning.

I don't know if this would work as I haven't used Shrink in years

you could just rip the 1st DVD only. Add the ripped 1st DVD to the 2nd DVD (still in the drive) in a new project as you shouldn't have to rip the 2nd DVD only to process it again. Shrink should then copy the 1st DVD files from the Hard Drive and rip the 2nd DVD's files and output them wherever you want

I suppose you could also use 2 DVDROM's if someone else wanted to do it and had 2 (like me ) as obviously you don't have 2

Is Shrink even "years" old :P

I would just rip one to the HDD with DVD Decrypter, then rip the 2nd one to a diff. folder, then you can open the first one in shrink, choose "reauthor" drag just the main movie over the the left, then go back, open the 2nd one on your HDD, go to "reauthor again and add the 2nd one.

    pretty much what MovieDud said.

lol, it feels like it and it's probably 2003 since I did properly 'use' it (seems like yesterday!)

why rip the 2nd DVD though, surely you can drag the main movie direct from the 2nd DVD by browsing and adding it to the first?

I'm going from memory here so be gentle :P

I can never understand why people rip more than they need (normally all the extras and menus). Why rip a full DVD if you only want the movie from the 1st DVD?

I'd be sitting down munching my popcorn watching my freshly burnt backup while you guys are still dragging and dropping all those files

    JA!!! :P
Wanna bet ?? i will outrip and out burn you by...... 2 seconds

well, i just like to rip everything to my HDD with DVD Decrypter first as it's faster than ripping with shrink, then having them both already on my HDD it just makes everything go faster because then it's not trying to pull from the 2nd dvd in the drive 8)

And i just looked and from what it seem's i guess DVD Shrink has been around for awhile... boy time flies

I agree with you guys about not ripping what you do not need...I simply rip movie only and place the files on HD and then handle the process through shrink or Recode 2 in order to combine two disks to one. I still prefer Dvd2one and it's joining feature as there is no pause when the movie gets to that critical moment of moving to what was once the 2nd disk (as in Pearl Harbor or the Lord of The Rings Extended Editions)...again I have the Denon 2200, which has an 8mb buffer, which you never notice layer swiches or any pauses when combining two disks to one or combining a double sided disk (only one I found and made to one was the movie Pelican Brief...one of the first Dvds so it came as double sided rather than DL).
