Problems with Smartripper

HI All

When using smartripper (older version & newer version) I keep getting error

WINDOWS PROTECTION ERROR PLEASE RESTART YOUR COMPUTER WHEN I TRY TO OPEN THE DVD

How ever if I run the no ASPI file and continue it lets me open up the dvd for ripping

Can anyone tell me what ASPI is ? and does anyone else suffer the same issue.

a ASPI is a communication like program so the computer can talk to your drives if it doesnt have this it willl emulate one and it will not give you the best reading speed for ripping....if you need the ASPI installer just Private Message me and ill send you it

Hi, I have 4 computers w/DVD rom & CD burners. Three work well with smartripper and one won't. I have run Force ASPI, checked the ASPI, it's up to date, and it still won't work. I use Cladmec in that one and it works just fine. Clad 2.0 also works in that one. You might give one of them a try. Merry Christmas. ....... harrymj3
