i need a good cheap s-vhs vcr whats the best and cheapest??

in need of a good svhs deck..

the brand i would prefer to have is JVC my old 5912u died recently and my dvd recorder is out of commision at the moment so..

is the the 2902 a good unit with excellent picture quality??

i only use jvc SV and EHG tapes so i know that gives the best results..but will i see the same with the lowered s2902 model??

any help would be greatly appreciated..

and one of my buddies has a 2902 unti with 10 Fuji svhs tapes he is willing to sell to me for a $115..

i am seriously considering that offer...the tapes are new but the deck is used though..
