  1. Hi there guys..I have around 120 episodes in avi NTSC (xvid, divx) format and i'd like to convert them in mpeg2 dvd PAL.Some of the files have 29,974 fps some others 23,976.I know how to do that via virual dub and cce but the problem is that it would take ages to process 120 50-minutes episodes. So i tried to use at first vso's divxtodvd and then nerovision to make them a DL DVD using highest possible bitrate and then shrink them with dvd rebuilder+cce.the video quality of divxtodvd output dvd was bad while the quality of nero was quite good but the audio was really bad.it stopped all the time and was clicking.I'd like to ask if there's a way to batch process many files using virtualdub or another program (except for tmpgenc cause i think it's the slowest mpeg2 encoder)that is good for that kind of job.But I'd prefer a program that supports frameserving because I use some filters in virtualdub, especially lanczos3 resizing.I'd also like to ask if there is a program that can tell you if a specific video file is interlaced or progressive.Thank you in advance folks.

Yes you can with virtualdub. When you are done and click File - save as avi, top down at the left there is a check box that says "don't run this job now...."

Then, at the end, click File - Job control and there will be your batch list.

Just don't know if you can load 120 files at a time

    Regards

The is a very high likelihood that your player will play NTSC disks, in which case you don't need to go the hassle of converting the format. I never format convert, and I live in a PAL country.

  5. if you have avisynth, then why not use that, you wouldn't need to worry about batches and stuff, just make a little script for each file that you need, and load all of them into cce. using cut and paste. As had been said, why bother with converting to different frame rate, when your player most likely can play ntsc?
